Who is your Instructor?
Shelly Jo Wahlstrom, CHT, CRNC, MA, known as "The Amino Acid Lady & Hypnotherapist," is a passionate hypnotherapist helping people overcome life’s challenges and find true healing. When her daughter battled meth addiction, Shelly Jo found hope through prayer, a journey that has since transformed thousands of lives.
She coined the phrase "When you get to the root of the problem, the problem goes away. When you don't, the problem persists."

Tribute to W. Dennis Parker
W. Dennis Parker and his wife, Susie, founded the Certified Hypnotherapy Training School in 2011. Over the past decade, hundreds of graduates have gone on to become successful practitioners using Dennis’ unique Positive Mind Management Certified Clinical (PMMCC) Hypnotherapy Method, helping thousands of people worldwide improve their lives.
Dennis, a Board Certified Hypnotherapist, launched his hypnotherapy practice and school with a personal mission to do more good in the last 20 years of his life than in the previous 60. He took great pride in helping people get “unstuck” and gain control of their minds and emotions. In addition to his clinical work, Dennis co-authored four books, sharing insights on how the mind processes experiences and emotions, leading to behavioral change.
After discovering the transformative effects of hypnotherapy in his own life, Dennis felt a strong calling to teach others about the power of hypnosis and the natural trance abilities we all possess. He believed hypnotherapy to be an effective tool for reflection, meditation, and personal growth, benefiting both the conscious and subconscious minds.
In 2011, on his 60th birthday, Dennis experienced a life-changing moment, realizing that he needed to fulfill his mission of founding a hypnotherapy school and teaching others the techniques he had developed. His personal mission statement expressed his desire to achieve more good and influence more lives in the final two decades of his life than ever before.
Though Dennis passed away shortly before his 70th birthday, his legacy continues.
In 2015, a student who was initially hesitant to enroll in his class became deeply inspired by his teachings. That student has since helped thousands of people across the U.S. and beyond using the techniques learned from Dennis. That student was Shelly Jo Wahlstrom.
With the support of Dennis’ family and his wife, Susie, the Certified Hypnotherapy School continues to move his legacy forward. Frequently Asked Questions
Is this training live or online? What if I miss a class?
Both - 60+ hours will be live on zoom and inperson workshops. However, all of them will be recorded. This was if you need to miss, you can watch the recording.
Is hypnosis really as effective online as it is in person?
Once someone closes their eyes, it really doesn't matter if they are live in an office or at home over zoom. It's as effective as long as they can be in a place where they aren't disturbed and can be comfortable. I like to see them from their chest up. However, the more you do it, you can also do it over the phone (not my preferance). However, when you feel comfortable online, your client base becomes global.
You say your mission is to feed the brain, body and emotions. How do I do that?
My business is composed of the 3-legged stool concept. Brain - Feed the brain specific brain food to raise and balance the neurotransmitters; Feed the body nutrition; and Feed the emotions by getting to the root of the problem through hypnotherapy equals optimal health.
